Day 3

After birthday party number one of three was cancelled on Saturday, I had no excuse to skip my work-out.  Completed Shoulders and Arms.  I actually enjoy that work-out.  It is not too hard, compared to others.  And since it repeats itself, I can keep going without waiting for Tony to talk for awhile between reps.

Now, for the bad news.  Within a couple of hours of completing the work-out, I started getting sick.

As I am writing this, I still have chills and feel exhausted.  Today has the extra bonus of stomach cramps, which I am assuming is from drinking too much sprite and not eating enough actual food.

I remember something like this happening the first time that I started P90X.  And I know it happened to Nick-big time.  It took him days to feel better.  Unfortunately, this week is way too busy for me to be sick so I better get over it-now.

Needless to say, I have not completed Day 4, yet, and I do not see it happening today.  Considering I almost fall over carrying Noah upstairs, I do not see 90 minutes of Yoga going over well.

Day 2

I had every excuse to skip my work-out today.

I had to take the kids to school.  I had to listen to Abby's class recite their memory verses to me.  I had to take Abby and the American Heritage Girls bowling, along with my boys.  I had to make dinner and finish reading my book for book club tonight (which, of course, has been cancelled because of freezing rain).

So, I ignored my snooze button and got up at 5:45 to work-out.

It felt great, except for the fact that my butt was sore from yesterday's core.  The added bonus was warming up with Yoga, trying to find my inner calm, while the boys woke up an hour early and started goofing off in their room.  Too bad that you have a poopy diaper, Noah-I am trying to stretch and be calm.

This weekend should be interesting-three birthday parties, tubing at the ski place, church plant meeting-looks like I will be waking up at 5:45 again.

Day 1 In The Year Of 2012

So...

...had a month of being sick, then went on a cruise and ate enough food to feed a small country.  Yep, I am motivated now.

As I watched my stomach get more and more loose over the past month, I was missing my work-outs.  Then, as I watched it get filled up with the never-ending food on the ship, I knew it was time to get back to work.

Started with good old Core Synergistics today.  Lord, help me.  Just when I couldn't get enough of that acrobat and her smug attitude about how great she looks, I had to start with this one again.  Since I pretty much have this one memorized, it went by quickly.  I only skipped the plank run since my gut is hanging so low from my eating adventure that it was just getting in the way.

Here we go.  No excuses or trips out of town planned in the near future.  Bring it.

Yep, Still Alive

Hello strangers.

To recap, I have had a cold that has lasted an entire month with no end in sight.  I am finally past the "I never want to move again" phase and just in the "cannot quite breathe, yet" stage.  Needless to say, I have not done much working out.  Considering that I can hardly breathe doing normal stuff, I cannot imagine P90X helping me along very well.

Oh, and my parents just informed me that I had bronchitis as a child.  Meaning that I should watch out for lingering colds.  Good to know, now that I am 34 years old.

Well, add on that we spent a week out of town visiting my family and you get the gist.  I really was all motivated to start anew this week, but for two reasons, I will be pushing my new attempt off for a couple of weeks.

One being that I still feel pretty crappy.

Two being that we are going on a cruise next weekend.  Nick and I will be married ten years this week and we decided to get away to celebrate.  Now why would I want to work out for two weeks only to ruin it by non-stop eating on a cruise?  That just seems silly.

You will be hearing from me again when we get back.  You know, when I am so stuffed that I can hardly move and will be passing out with my first work-out.

I am so smart sometimes.
